Stewards: Stadium stewards employed by sports clubs organizing football competitions. They are responsible for checking tickets for sports facilities, welcoming and directing spectators, and ensuring compliance with the regulations governing the use of the facilities. They also perform auxiliary police activities related to checks within the sports facility, pursuant to Article 2-ter, paragraphs 1 and 1-bis of Legislative Decree No. 8 of 2007.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Services performed by stewards and professionals <\/strong> DECREE 13 August 2019 Amendment to the decree of 8 August 2007, concerning \"Organization and service of stewards in sports facilities\"<\/p>\n\n\n\n
1. The services that may be performed by stewards are the following: a) checking tickets for sports facilities; b) welcoming and directing spectators; c) verifying compliance with the regulations governing the use of sports facilities; d) performing auxiliary police activities, relating to checks within the sports facility, for the performance of which the exercise of public authority or the operational deployment of members of the police force is not required.
2. The services referred to in paragraph 1 are organized according to the following professional roles: a) event management delegate (hereinafter DGE); b) function manager (hereinafter RF); c) sector coordinator (hereinafter CS); d) unit head (hereinafter CU); e) steward operator (hereinafter OS).
3. The tasks associated with the professional figures referred to in paragraph 2, the methods of collaboration with the police forces and the auxiliary services of the police activity relating to checks within the sports facility, are established in Annex D, which constitutes an integral part of this decree.
4. The characteristics of the identification clothing provided to stewards are set forth in Annex E, which forms an integral part of this decree: it consists of a bib to be worn over the head, fastened on both sides with Velcro or automatic hooks, having the following characteristics: high-visibility yellow or orange and a luminescent silver band \u2013 UNI-EN 340-471-530 standard. Identification signs: word \"STEWARD\". Progressive number.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
